About the Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Financial Capability Advisor to deliver comprehensive financial literacy services to individuals and families in the community. In this role, you will help build clients' financial capabilities by offering support in budgeting, money management, and preventing financial crises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering effective Financial Capability services to community clients.
- Assisting individuals and families in building self-reliance through enhanced financial literacy and money management skills.
- Developing and facilitating non-accredited financial literacy workshops for local groups and providing one-on-one budgeting support.
- Supporting families at risk of homelessness by helping them manage household finances and avoid accommodation crises.
- Assisting clients in resolving or avoiding financial difficulties while strengthening their ability to manage resources.
- Managing client assessments, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating referral services.
- Providing timely, accurate reports in line with service contracts.
About You:
- A Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A current 'C' class driver’s license.
- Experience in financial counseling or community services, focusing on financial literacy improvement.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conducting one-on-one support sessions and facilitating group workshops.
Additionally, the following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded:
- Experience working with families at risk of homelessness.
- Strong organisational skills for managing client files and reports.
